Significant actions undertaken in 2009

  • Sorting of waste from markets, implemented on 01/04/2009: 2 tonnes of crates and 32 tonnes of cardboard recycled.
  • Implementation of paper recycling in the Town Hall offices
  • Creation of waste sorting points in the technical areas of the town hall: green spaces/technical centre: sorting of cardboard, glass, iron, polluting materials (batteries, oil filters etc.)
  • Removal and recycling of 3.7 tonnes of truck tyres and 9.3 tonnes of agricultural tyres from the former waste site, together with 3 m3 of waste oil

Actions taken in 2010

  • A used battery collection point is now available for use in the town hall entrance.

Actions planned for the medium term

  • Waste sorting when emptying town bins and collecting flytipped refuse
  • Working in partnership with fast food outlets to educate their customers about cleanliness in public spaces

Humanitarian actions

Every year, the town collects bottle caps on behalf of the association "Un bouchon = un sourire" ("a bottle top = a smile"), which provides wheelchairs for people with disabilities. Three large skips, equivalent to over two tonnes of bottle tops, are collected.
