A town in bloom currently graded with three flowers, Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire makes its public spaces pleasant and attractive every year by decorating them with original flower arrangements.
The members of the regional towns in bloom competition visited 46 towns in Burgundy between 18 August and 3 September 2009. At the award ceremony held on 22 October, the town of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire received the special regional prize for spring flowers!
Throughout the year, the green spaces department decorates the town with flowers linked to the events that punctuate our seasons. Last spring, almost 7,800 tulips brightened up the town's neighbourhoods. The decorations also included pansies, forget-me-nots and primroses, and the jury paid tribute to a whole world of colour with the award.
